ALLERGY
Another unique feature Siberians have is their hypoallergenic properties.
Siberians can rightfully be called low-allergen because of mutations that bring down their Fel d 1 levels. Fel d1 is the most major of 10 cat allergens, causing IgE reactions in up to 90% of cat-allergic adults. Fel d1 secreted in saliva is spread to the haircoat during grooming.
More than any other breed of cat Siberians are a great choice for people with mild or moderate allergies. However, the individual reaction is unpredictable and we highly recommed to contact us and arrange the allergy test before purchase.
Please remember “hypoallergenic” means only “less allergy”. No pet is truly 100% allergen-free.
